During the summer of 2011 I completed an internship at Platinum PR in Shepherdstown, WV. This local firm specializes in results-oriented marketing and public relations solutions for a wide variety of businesses in the tri-state area. President and CEO, Sandy Sponaugle, founded the company to provide businesses with a fresh approach to advertising and building their brand via social media. There I learned many of the basics of PR like how to properly write a press release, contacting media sources, WordPress and website basics, and more.
